We have decided to cut off the shivan supply lines. But also we are interested in the exact capabilities of the SD Lucifer. Because we are a proven warrior, we are ordered to use a new ship prototype to get information about the shivans around the Verbek Gate. Alone.
Hints:
Keep distance to all fighters and turrets, use the hotkey for orientation.
You do not need your weapons at all, or, if you want to fight, only after the scanning, so give full energy to the engines.
After the scanning of the Lucifer, fly to the Asmodeus freighter and scan all containers on the way to it. Scan the SFr Krumlik to perform a bonus objective.
After you scanned the Asmodeus together with its docked container, scan the SCv Inderpal as well, for another bonus objective.
After that, scan both Memphistos, called SFr Baalath and SFr Bosheth, together with the containers and complete your scanning mission with the scan of the remaining containers to perform the third and last bonus objective in this mission.
Behind the Scenes:
In an older version of this mission, it was planned that your ship suffered a regular system breakdown for a few seconds, like in the beginning. Because this idea was discarded, the final version of the mission is a lot easier.
There are even unused communication messages concerning that a shivan wing detects this breakdown and fly directly over you, but do not find you, because your systems are offline, except for communications.
An Easteregg exist in this mission: There is a secondary objective called "Retake the node". If you are able to destroy the shivan juggernaught, you can perform this objective and you will get an additional debriefing text, in which you are the new hero of the ancients race and you are ordered to retake Verbek and to conquer the shivan home systems afterwards in a Serio fighter. Actually you can win the Ancient-Shivan War and change the history of the whole universe thanks to your skills. Congratulations! ;-)
